Kelpies are a SHAPESHIFTER entity in Scottish folklore. They are dangerous, supernatural horse-like entities with shapeshifting abilities dwelling in rivers, pools and lochs. According to tradition lone travellers sometimes encountered them lingering near watery places. They often take the form of a beautiful woman or a horse but can also adopt other guises such as that of an old man. One sign of their true identity can be revealed when water weed is noticed entangled in their hair.

Bought this without hearing a single note. These women are the absolute Queens of punk blues. Listen to "Love of Ivy" & check out Margaret's slide guitar. Just freakin' badass. (IMHO) this version blows away Gun Clubs'... That guitar along with her voice & Tara's drums kicks my ass every time. And speaking of slide..."Tell Me" is a showcase of her massive talent. Smokin'! Mr. Airplane Man is the real deal. Criminally underrated band. My appreciation only grows...

So hard to pick a favorite on any of M.A.M.'s albums. Their music transcends the punk blues label in so many ways. And I love how heavy some of their more "mellow" tunes really are. The sum turns out so much larger than the parts. I just freakin' this band.🤘 edit: "Where I Belong" hit me like a sledge, after listening to this album hundreds of times. SO beautiful it hit me harder than most metal I play. LOVE when that happens. Nobody does it better than these two.

A collaboration between the prolific Marco Butcher, his long term music partner Luis Tissot and avant garde harmonica vocalist Walter Daniels. Butcher and Tissot, performing under the monica of Jesus And The Groupies play their unique trash blues. With them to provide another dimension is Walter Daniels. It's great stuff from this trio. I could have picked any track as my favourite. Check out Butcher's other collaborations (The Jam Messengers, Chicken Shack, The Middle Aged Delinquents etc)
